CALL FOR PAPERS
CGS is an international forum on categorical grammar research involving Combinatory Categorial Grammar(CCG), Type Logical Grammar(TLG), Symmetric Categorial Grammar(SCG) and so on. The CGS 2019 will be held at Xiangtan University, China, from April 20 to 21, 2019. It is sponsored by Xiangtan University and the logic Association of China (LAC).
PAPER SUBMISSION
Contributions are invited on all pertinent subjects, with particular interest in CCG, TLG and SCG. Typical but not exclusive areas of interest are: the attempt on the event semantics for CCG; new ideas to bring CCG/TLG together; work on characterizing Mandarin (especially on the problems of qualification, tense and aspect of Chinese using some Grammar); the way to perfect CCG tree banks for Chinese.
Paper should be in English, and consist of a scholarly exposition accessible to the non-specialist, including motivation, background, and comparison with related works. Articles are suggested to be written in the LaTeX format (at least with PDF format), with no length limit but they would better exceed 10 pages, with references and technical appendices (if necessary). The paper's main results can be published or submitted for publication in refereed venues, but they should be relatively new work on these field. A title and single-paragraph abstract should be submitted by February 10, 2019, and the full paper by Marth 10, 2019.
PROCEEDINGS
The proceedings of CGS 2019, including both invited and contributed papers, will be compiled in advance of the meeting as a volume just for the conference. Some invited and selected contributions will be published by Springer (in contact).
